Message from President Nicole Brown
Dear Sisters and Brothers,
It’s hard to believe that we are coming to the end of another academic year and summer is finally here. This year, we faced challenges, but we also found new opportunities. We had times of uncertainty and concern, and times filled with hope and celebration. Although this was another tough year, our resolve to overcome each obstacle that came our way gives me great pride as your colleague and as your HCTA president. My heartfelt thanks go out to you for the patience, fortitude, and resilience you have demonstrated during this school year. Special thanks to our Executive Board and Negotiations Committee for their diligence and support.
Our New Contract
Over the past week, I have been working with Mr. Scott regarding the disbursements of the monetary items outlined in our new agreement. Below is a time-frame for the following disbursements:
- Ratification Bonus - $1,500 (1st half) by Tuesday, August 9th
- Ratification Bonus - $1,500 (2nd half) by Friday, December 23rd (HCTA still employed)
- Retro Payment for 2021-2022 School Year - by Thursday, September 1st
- 2021-2022 Retirement Incentive - $10,000 by Friday, September 30th
- 6th Period Award - (1st half) by Friday, September 30th
