Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Please join me in congratulating Danielle on her retirement and thanking her for her many years of dedicated service to the members of the HCTA. Danielle’s leadership, commitment, and advocacy have meant so much to all of us, and I am truly grateful to have had the opportunity to work alongside her. We wish Danielle nothing but the very best as she begins this next chapter and we can't wait to celebrate with her at our Annual Retirement & End of Year party in June.
I also ask you to join me in congratulating Stephanie Dubose, ELA Teacher and Instructional Coach at ABGS Middle School, on her appointment as our new 1st Vice President. Thank you, Stephanie, for your outstanding work as our Grievance Chairperson and for stepping into this role to continue serving our members with strength and integrity.
As we head into this well-deserved holiday break, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for all that you do every single day for our students, their families, and for one another. Despite the challenges you face personally and professionally, you continue to show up and that speaks volumes about who we are as a union. So, leave that bag filled with work in the trunk. Please take this time to truly rest, treat yourself to something nice, and spend time with the people who fill your cup.
